Dear Hope Lutheran Church Family,
Pastor Collette’s mother is in very poor health, and Pastor needs to be with her family. Therefore, Pastor will not be able to lead worship services the remainder of December as she had planned.
The Hope Lutheran Church Council has given Pastor Collette the option to take this time as vacation so she can focus on caring for her family and she has decided to answer the call to be with her family. The Council will be asking lay persons and pastors to lead worship services until we secure an interim pastor.
To that end, we will be temporarily changing the Sunday Worship schedule. We are temporarily suspending drive-in worship services at 10 am. We will continue with the live virtual 8:00 am worship service accessible through Facebook and phone.
At this point we are waiting for the plastic wall surrounds for our drive-in worship platform, and we are not sure we will be able to provide a drive in option on Christmas Eve at 4:00pm as originally planned. We will know by Monday if the materials have arrived. Please check the website, Facebook and your emails for a decision regarding the drive-in option for Christmas Eve.
We will be having the 2:00 pm Virtual service on Christmas Eve accessible on Facebook and by phone.
Lastly, we are cancelling the Blue Christmas program scheduled this Sunday, December 20th.
We are dedicated as a Council to get information out to everyone as quickly as possible. We appreciate your continued support and understanding at this time. Please be sure to check emails, websites, and the newsletter for the latest updates.
Blessings during this season of Advent, stay well,
Hope Lutheran Church Council
