Hope Lutheran What to Expect
Worship Times: Thursday - 6:30 p.m.
Sunday - 8:00 & 10:30 a.m.

If you are visiting us for worship, here is what you can expect!

Parking and Accommodation!

We have plenty of parking, with special parking for senior citizens and handicap parking near the entrance of the building.  You will enter into a barrier free worship space.

Greeters!

An individual, a couple, or a family will give you a warm welcome as you enter our worship space.

Ushers!

A friendly person will give you today's bulletin.  This will help you to participate in worship, and it also has information about upcoming events at church.  The insert with announcements and the calendar for the upcoming week is called "The Epistle".

Nursery!

We have nursery space available.  We do not staff the nursery as we welcome and want children in worship with us (even noisy kids☺).  Feel free to use this space as a cry-room or for a break for your child.  Come and go as you please at any point during worship.  There is a speaker in the nursery to help you hear the service, and from there you can see right into the worship space.

Music!

You will experience a wide variety of hymns, songs, and liturgy played on both the organ and piano.  We need your voice to praise God!  Also, we have two bell-choirs and plenty of special music offerings from individuals and groups.

Scripture!

Each week someone reads from the Bible.  Usually we have an Old Testament, Psalm, New Testament Letter, and New Testament Gospel reading.

Proclamation!

Each week Pastor Matt or Pastor Rachael will proclaim "Good News" from the scripture that was read.

Offering!

Each week we collect tithes, alms, and gifts to be used for the mission and ministry of this congregation, the wider church of the ELCA, and our mission partners.

Prayer!

Each week we pray for the mission and ministry of this congregation, the world, and all those in need.

Communion!

Each week we gather around the Lord's table.  All baptized Christians who believe the true presence of Christ are welcome at the table.  Children who are not yet ready for communion come forward for a blessing.

Sending!

We are "sent out" into the community to proclaim God's love in word and deed!
